Ben James Counselling & Psychotherapy

I offer counselling, psychotherapy and supervision near Paddington, Little Venice and Maida Vale, West London (W2) from the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE), a busy and comfortable counselling and psychotherapy centre, conveniently close to Paddington, Warwick Avenue and Maida Vale tube and bus links. My practice is also within easy travelling distance to St. John's Wood, Marylebone, Kilburn and Bayswater.

I am a qualified London-based British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Member and United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor.

Qualifications: After undertaking a one year foundation course in the fundamentals of counselling and psychotherapy, I completed a 4 year post-graduate Diploma in counselling and psychotherapy, followed by an 18 month M.A. Finally, I completed a one year training as a supervisor in 2006.

Finding a way through problems and difficulties

It would be fair to say that, for all of us, at some point in our life, it's usual to feel that the problems, difficulties and burdens we carry can feel like being stuck in a maze we can’t find a way out of. We feel overwhelmed by them and our day-to-day relationships don't seem to offer us what we need in terms of support.

This is where a series of counselling or psychotherapy sessions can help, although finding the right counsellor or psychotherapist can feel like a daunting prospect.
